Get Started with FareHarbor Sites

Curious how the FareHarbor Sites process works? See the process step by step and learn how to get started.

Step 1

Talk to Your Account Manager or Sales Person

The first step toward a FareHarbor Site is to talk to your account manager or sales person to see if this option is right for you. If you’ve already had this conversation and they’ve referred you to this website for more information, move on to the next step!

Step 2

Site Submission

Once you and your account representative have determined that a FareHarbor Site is right for you they’ll get your information submitted to our in-house Sites Team for the next steps. Your account representative may gather some additional information from you including:

  • Photos and other assets
  • Content for your website (In most cases, we’ll use your current website content, but we may require that you supply additional content if you need new pages built out)
  • Your website registrar details
Step 3

Collect Additional Details

Once your project is submitted you’ll be assigned a project coordinator to work with throughout your project. They’ll review your submission and reach out to you to schedule a 30 minute phone call to discuss any particulars of your project. This call allows our Sites Team to align with you on the project before we get started.

Step 4

Build Your Site

After our team has collected all the necessary information they’ll get started building your site. This includes an SEO specialist reviewing your site for optimized keywords, title tags, meta descriptions, and page headings to help your site appear on search results.

Our web content specialist will then begin to building your new website! Our web content specialists have collectively spent hundreds of hours examining websites for tour and activity companies. They’ve seen the best — and the worst. They also draw from industry-specific research regarding best practices, user experience, and optimized booking flow.

Using this knowledge and the content provided, our web content specialists will create an attractive, conversion-friendly website that is designed to generate online bookings.

Step 5

Site Reveal

Now comes the exciting part — your website is ready to be reviewed! Your project coordinator will schedule a time to review the new website with you, discuss any final adjustments to be made and go over the next steps for getting your new website launched.

Step 6

Go Live!

Our team will redirect any old URLs to maintain search engine rankings, update your name servers, and configure your DNS through our content delivery network Cloudflare to ensure your website is always servable.

We’ll assign a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to the site so your users know it’s safe. We’ll even submit a full sitemap so Google knows to crawl and re-index your website.

Once the site is live on your domain, our quality control team will ensure everything is working correctly, and we’ll supply you with your backend login and some additional resources to get you started.

Now you’re ready to start reaping the benefits of a search-friendly website with an optimized booking flow!
